What is an escape room?

An escape room is a real-life adventure in which players are "locked" in a room. In a race against the clock, players must work together, find clues, and solve puzzles, to escape the room!

At Unity Escape Rooms, we bring together engaging storytelling, immersive themes, and unique challenges to create an unforgettable experience.

Where is Unity Escape Rooms located?

We are conveniently located in Southern California with locations in Redlands and Rancho Cucamonga.

What should we bring?

Just bring your wits, your sense of adventure, and an open mind. We recommend wearing clothing you can comfortably move in and making time for a bathroom break before starting your experience. If you use reading glasses, we suggest bringing those as well.

Can I bring my phone, camera, etc into the room?

To immerse yourself fully in the experience, we prohibit the use of phones, smartwatches, tablets, cameras, calculators, and other electronic devices in the room. Anything you need to escape the room will be provided to you.

We provide safe and secure lockers to store your phones, bags, and other personal items while you plot your escape from the room.

Is there free parking available?

Yes, we have plenty of free parking spaces just steps away from our doors!

How many players are allowed in a room?

On average, our rooms can each accommodate 2 to 10 players. If you have specific questions about a room experience, don't hesitate to ask us.

Can I reschedule?

We can reschedule your experience up to 48 hours prior to your reservation time. Within 48 hours of the start time, a $25 fee will be charged. We cannot make any changes within 2 hours of your start time.

What is your cancellation policy? Can I get a refund?

Due to the nature of our experiences, all bookings are non-refundable, unless you purchase Booking Protection.

Up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled booking time, we can reschedule your booking to a different date, time, location, or room experience. Within 48 hours of your start time, any changes to your booking will incur a $25 fee. Within 2 hours of your start time, changes to your reservation cannot be made.

What is Booking Protection?

Booking Protection is a service designed to safeguard your non-refundable purchase in the event you need to make changes to your plans. It provides refundable coverage for up to 24 hours before your scheduled booking.

However, please note that if you need to modify your reservation within 24 hours of your start time, a $25 fee will be applied. Changes to your reservation cannot be made within 2 hours of your start time.

How do I redeem my gift card?

When booking online, you will enter your Gift Card code in the Promo Code / Gift Card box during checkout. When booking over the phone, be prepared to provide the Gift Card code.

What time should we arrive?

We ask that you and your party arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled reservation. This will give you adequate time to complete the check-in process, sign waivers, brief you for your adventure, and use the restroom as needed.

What happens if we're late?

If your party arrives late, the time will be deducted from your experience. We have to enforce this policy to ensure that each room is properly sanitized and reset between guest experiences.

We suggest checking traffic and planning accordingly to arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time.

How do we escape?

You and your team will explore the room to find clues, solve puzzles, and unlock locks. When you unlock the final challenge, you will have "escaped" the room.

What if we don't escape?

Don't worry, we won't leave you locked in the room. If you don't escape the room in time, we'll unlock the door for you. Our rooms are carefully designed to provide an entertaining experience whether you "escape" or not.

How long does each experience last?

You will have one hour to escape from the room! Plan to be onsite for about an hour and a half. This will include 15 minutes before you start your escape, as well as 5 to 15 minutes afterwards to celebrate, take photos, etc.

Will we be locked in?

Yes and no. While the door to the room does "lock", there are safety features in each room to ensure guests can exit the rooms at any time. The rooms are also monitored by our staff while you are in the room.

Can I come back and try again?

Yes! If you don't succeed in escaping from the room, you are more than welcome to come back and try again, or try another experience. If you did successfully escape, we ask that you choose a different experience for the enjoyment of the other players in your party (unless you're really trying to impress someone).

Will we be playing with strangers?

You and your party have the room all to yourself! This means that the players you invite with your reservation are the players that will be in the room with you (so choose wisely).

Are your escape rooms scary or offensive?

We don't think so. While a few of our experiences may be suspenseful or thrilling, all of our experiences are family friendly. Regardless, we understand and respect everyone's individual beliefs and perspectives, so if you have specific concerns, please don't hesitate to ask.

Are your escape rooms safe?

Absolutely! We strive to provide a fun and safe experience. We work closely with local authorities to ensure each of our experiences meets or exceeds the strictest of standards. Our guest and employee safety is always our highest priority.

Are there any age limits?

We allow players of all ages! However, we do feel that most of the escape games would be best enjoyed by players 5 and above.

Are the escape rooms accessible?

Absolutely! Our rooms are created with accessibility in mind and we welcome all guests. Some puzzles may require some dexterity or mobility, but between your party and our trained staff, we've got your accessibility needs covered. Please inform our staff of any concerns you may have upon arrival.

Wheelchairs

All of our rooms are wheelchair accessible. Our Killer's Lodge and Tomb of the Pharaoh rooms may require staff assistance to fully maneuver and some immersion may be momentarily interrupted.

Deaf or Hard of Hearing

None of our puzzles directly rely on audible cues. However, some staff provided hints may be provided audibly.

Blind or Low Vision

Given the nature of the escape experience, many of the puzzles, challenges, and clues are visually oriented. While visual acuity is not required to solve the challenges, individuals with impacted sight may need assistance from their party to describe the surroundings.

Language

Many of our rooms require a cursory understanding English to decipher clues or riddles.

Are emotional support animals or service dogs allowed?

Service Animals

We gladly welcome trained service animals to accommodate guests who need assistance, as long as the following requirements are met:

  • your animal is specially trained to perform a task as defined by the ADA
  • you must retain control of the animal at all times
  • you are responsible for any damage caused by your animal while on premise

Emotional Support Animals or Pets

Unfortunately, we cannot allow emotional support animals or pets as they do not meet our training requirements. For the benefit and safety of our guests and your animals, we must ask that you leave your pets and emotional support animals at home. Friendly reminder that service animal fraud is a criminal misdemeanor in California.
