Memorial Day is a day set aside to honor and remember the brave men and women who have died while serving in the U.S. military. This solemn holiday has its origins in the aftermath of the Civil War, when communities began to decorate the graves of fallen soldiers as a way of paying tribute to their sacrifice.

At Unity Escape Rooms, we want to take this time to reflect on the sacrifices these men and women made, so that we may enjoy the freedoms of this great nation.

Ways to observe Memorial Day

1. Reflect on the meaning of the day: Take a moment to think about the sacrifices made by the men and women who gave their lives for our country
2. Visit a cemetery: Visit a local or national cemetery and pay your respects to the fallen soldiers by leaving flowers or flags
3. Attend a Memorial Day ceremony: Rancho Cucamonga | Redlands
4. Watch the National Memorial Day Concert: Sunday, May 28th, 2023 @ 5:00pm PDT
5. Fly your flag at half-staff: Display the American flag at half-staff until noon to honor the fallen soldiers
6. Observe the National Moment of Remembrance: take a moment of silence to reflect on Memorial Day, May 29th, at 3:00pm
